Traditional Engagement Ceremony in Kumasi
SUNDAY, JANUARY 3, 2027 · MORNING
Our wedding day begins in Kumasi, Ghana with a traditional Ghanaian engagement ceremony honoring our families, heritage, and culture.
What to Expect —
The traditional ceremony is a cherished Ghanaian custom that will celebrate the joining of our two families. During the ceremony, our families will participate in traditional introductions, blessings, and cultural customs that formally mark our marriage.
What to Wear —
We invite guests to embrace the spirit of the day by wearing Kente, traditional Ghanaian or African attire, or vibrant colors inspired by Ghanaian celebrations. Woven in rich colors and patterns, Kente is a treasured symbol of Ashanti heritage and is traditionally reserved for moments of joy, honor, and celebration.
